Platform One exists to support and protect community-led systems, uphold shared values, and ensure long-term stewardship across essential domains such as energy, food, housing, water, resilience, data, and wellbeing.
Supporting Platform One is an act of stewardship, not consumption. It helps maintain a governance home that is:

- non-extractive
- independent of political and commercial influence
- focused on long-term community benefit
Support helps sustain the governance conditions within which communities can design and lead their own systems with integrity.
Why Support Matters
Platform One does not run programmes or sell services. Our role is to:
- hold the governance backbone
- protect the kaupapa
- safeguard the Platform One Blueprint
- prevent political, commercial, or institutional capture
- ensure community-led systems remain grounded in values and consent-based practice
Support helps Platform One to:
- maintain independence and integrity
- strengthen governance resilience and continuity
- document and refine the Blueprint as learning emerges
- safely host new Community Project Circles as communities become ready
- uphold the ethical and values framework that guides decision-making
Support is directed toward stewardship — not growth or expansion for its own sake.
Ways You Can Support Platform One
Values-Aligned Financial Support
Financial support helps sustain:
- governance and stewardship functions
- documentation and Blueprint development
- ethical and data governance work
- long-term structural capacity for community-led systems
Platform One will only consider financial support that is:
- values-aligned
- non-extractive
- free from influence or control
- directed toward public and community benefit
No sponsorships, branding trades, or influence-based arrangements are accepted.
Contribute Skills and Capability
People may support Platform One by contributing capability in areas such as:
- governance and values-based practice
- consent-based facilitation and conflict resolution
- systems thinking and community systems design
- research, documentation, and analysis
- digital and data ethics
- community engagement and relational practice
All contributions must respect Platform One’s independence, kaupapa, and governance boundaries.
Support a Community Project Circle
Some people are drawn to support specific Community Project Circles operating within the Platform One framework.
Support for Circles may include:
- participation and local involvement
- time and skills for Circle-led work
- aligned technical, governance, or research support
Each Circle determines its own needs and priorities.
Support follows the direction of the Circle itself and must remain non-extractive and aligned with Platform One’s governance framework.
Strengthen the Governance Framework and the Blueprint
Support can also focus on reinforcing the systems that protect communities over time, including:
- refinement of the Platform One Blueprint
- governance continuity and succession planning
- ethical and data governance frameworks
- tools that keep community control and consent at the centre
This is the long-range work that preserves integrity over decades.
A Values-First Approach to Support
Platform One does not accept:
- support that seeks influence or control
- commercial sponsorship arrangements
- politically aligned funding
- partnerships that extract community value or compromise independence
Any support relationship must:
- strengthen the kaupapa
- protect community autonomy
- uphold the ethical and values framework
- respect governance boundaries
If a proposed form of support undermines independence, it will not proceed.
