Alignment Principles

An Overview

We are currently weaving and facilitating the initial frameworks and guidance teams from among actively aligned community members and organisations. As project initiators and leaders it is inevitable that a certain level of ‘top down’ initial project start up organizational structure exists however we are committed to quickly move to a bottom up / Teal modality as we align with our wider community members and their needs.

The high level fluff

We strive to put into actions, the learnings and in particular, the mistakes of others and not to repeat them as far as possible. To this end, we recognize that alignment of values, desires, purpose, approach, outcomes, spirituality and other individual ways of being and conducting ourselves as individuals is paramount to harmonious living.

We are clear that our specific on the ground projects may not suit all however we invite you to focus upon the details of our approach and our methods as, in truth, it is not our specific projects that are our main desired exciting outcomes but rather to create templates as to HOW a successful, harmonious outcome may be identified, planned, actioned and guided so as to become successful within sustainable human and planetary needs and values.

So to create the ground rules which support our projects is as follows:

The Brass Tacks

To create the most robust and powerful group alignment we strive to declare, as much as possible, a transparent overview of ourselves, our purpose, specific desired outcomes / projects, governance and ‘management principles, and understanding of the team(s) at the coalface. It is critical to ensure that those of you who choose to join with us, and that we choose to work with, are as close to 100% clear, willing and in full agreement to work collaboratively and contribute co-creatively.

To engage and the process to become a Member:

  1. Please read the Platform One Charter & WE Share Charter – read it as many times as you need to absorb. Ask us for assistance if you have questions.
  2. If interested in Governance, creation of innovative financial models, investing, co-operatives structures, working within our trust, please read the Platform One Foundation Charitable Trust deed with particular attention to the Guiding Principles.
  3. Choose if you are in agreement to our positions, are aligned and accept these documents as the foundation by which to be held accountable.
  4. Contact us with your request to become a member including:

    – Your acceptance of the Charters and Guiding principles
    – Your CV / Bio
    – Why you want to join?
    – What resources you offer?
    – Do you envision yourself in a specific role / area of contribution?

  5. Interviews with existing members / induction team
  6. Upon acceptance, a 1 year induction period begins. After this time you may apply to become a full member.
  7. This process applies to everyone who wishes to join into Platform One Group whether for the Community Energy project, Our P1FC Trust, E.V.E. or our other community projects planned.

We will be providing more detail on our group dynamic management processes such as NVC workshops and other conflict resolution training as well as other tools that we utilize as we move forward, gathering knowledge and ways of being that support community resilience, common needs, harmonious outcomes and individual spiritual evolution.
