Platform One is a place to stand (tūrangawaiwai) and to take a stand, a place where we embrace the challenges of creating personal and community alignment frameworks which lead to robust and holistically integrated community outcomes and vibrant, resilient solutions for our necessary transition to harmonious living on Planet Earth.
We have identified a systemic and missing component, a “glue” which isolates and disconnects ourselves as community, working together to achieve common needs, goals and outcomes.
We are a seed group, arising in Aotearoa New Zealand, a living system of committed people evolving as a unique social organism. We are leading by example to develop templates that others may use and improve.
Our Platform rests within a values-based foundation of aligned community goals which is being embedded within blockchain technology and also operates within a charitable trust which provides unique and appropriate organizational structures designed to aid in the transition to a bottom up and resilient Waiheke community future. What is Platform One?
Platform One is the generic title of our organisation (we had to call it something) and represents our position and the real life projects which are designed and committed to develop new and unique living, community interaction and financial systems by which individuals, groups organisations and communities may align within common purpose(s) and work harmoniously to generate abundance, resilience and a better future for ourselves and our natural world.
A committed group who is committed not to accept and support the current way of living our lives at the self destructive cost to ourselves, our communities and our planet. We accept that, as large, hairy and audacious this project is, it MUST be accomplished.
We all know Albert’s definition of insanity “Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result”, and we are hell bent for leather to find the missing “glue” to bring ourselves together and align within sustainable and harmonious bottom up systems which support a better future.
